An excellent academic achiever Lat. Prof Dinesh Varshney, born on December 3, 1965, worked at School of Physics, Devi Ahilya University, Indore from 1993 to 2018. With more than 500 research publications to his credit, in his academic and research endeavor of more than 27 years, he supervised 33 Ph. D. and 25 M. Phil candidates. He also worked as ICTP-UNESCO-TRIL fellow at Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa (Italy) and University of Loughborough (U.K.) during 1998-99. He was a visiting Professor at Mascara University (Algérie) during June 2013.
He was recipient of many awards and titles including Certificate from International Centre for Diffraction Data (USA ), State level Dr Kailash Nath Katju Award for Sciences, 55th DAE Solid State Physics Symposium Poster Award, Best Research Scientist award from Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology Bhopal, National Indian Science Congress Award (ISCA) Young Scientist award, to name a few.
He worked at various administrative positions as Director College Development Council; Regional Director, MP Bhoj Open University; Head School of Instrumentation and Chairman Board of Studies.
